Lemongrass named as a supplier on the UK Government’s G-Cloud 12 Framework

Lemongrass, a global leader in migrating and operating SAP on AWS, today announced that it has been named as a supplier on Crown Commercial Service’s G-Cloud 12 Framework for both Cloud Hosting and Cloud Support. This is the third year that Lemongrass has been listed as a G-Cloud supplier, emphasising the company’s commitment to delivering cloud-based services to public sector organisations in the UK.

Crown Commercial Service supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services. In 2019/20, CCS helped the public sector to achieve commercial benefits worth over £1bn – supporting world-class public services that offer best value for taxpayers.

The G-Cloud Framework enables public bodies to procure commodity-based, pay-as-you-go cloud services on short-term contracts through an online catalogue called the Digital Marketplace. This streamlined procurement process supports the UK government’s “Cloud First” policy and is a key component in the government’s ambition to operate a “cloud native” digital architecture.

Lemongrass is one of only a few AWS Premier Partners named as a supplier under the G-Cloud 12 Framework to deliver SAP on AWS migrations, automation and run operate services for UK Government organisations. The Lemongrass G-Cloud 12 migrate and operate models provide Government organisations access to the continuous innovation and pricing improvements that AWS release on a weekly basis, marking the end of the traditional “hosting” fixed price models that have previously dominated the UK Government sector.

Lemongrass has helped UK GOV organisations dramatically reduce their SAP landscape footprint and introduce substantial cost savings though both platform modernisation and transformation. Core to all of these benefits is the enablement of SAP Automation which drives significant cost savings, reduced operation and migration downtime.

“G-Cloud is an incredibly important procurement scheme for the UK Public Sector to efficiently and reliably source cloud-related solutions, services & platforms,” said Mark Hirst, Lemongrass EVP (EMEA). “Our G-Cloud service offerings are designed to enable UK GOV organisations to benefit from modernising their SAP operations and processes, automating their SAP systems, and increasing their speed to innovation.”

Lemongrass operates in a single, ITIL-aligned, global follow-the-sun model. The company is a certified AWS Managed Service Provider, has achieved SAP on AWS Capability, is an AWS Reseller as well as Premier Partner. Lemongrass is also an SAP Partner, is ISO 27001 and 9001 certified, ISAE3402 I certified, and operates in compliance with GDPR.
