Asset Register

You want to create an IAM policy that contains the minimum level of security but you’re not sure what to add, or you want to know the number of times a particular activity has been executed.

Using MiCloud Cloud Trail log analysis it is possible to determine what actions have been performed. This can be executed over huge volumes of log data in minutes. The result can be used to construct a minimum level of access IAM policy, as well as many other things.

Security Framework

Have you ever wanted to know when an important change has been made to items in your account, or even to block certain changes?

Using Config Change Alerting you can receive an email if someone makes a change to an item in your account, or you could even block the change if that was more appropriate.

Compliance Checking

Do you need a way to implement Compliance Checking to ensure all your AWS estate is correctly configurated as per design?

Using AWS config rules, we are able to compare actual state to desired state and provide a list of exceptions that can be worked down.

Our Task List functionality provides this capability. A framework to build and execute a collection of complex and collaborative task lists: electronic run books.
Each will measure the elapse time and work effort time for execution, providing deep insight.
Each can be audited for user, duration and completeness.
Outputs can be things such as run books or system build documentation.
Master lists, when updated based on new facts such as lessons learned, become available for the next run.

It’s a searchable collection of collaboratively created knowledge items, similar to SAP Notes that enables you and your team to build and maintain your own Notes-based knowledge sharing base.
A fast and easy way to rapidly increase your collaborative knowledge. When starting a task, searching Notes for the latest and greatest is a great enabler for continuous improvement.

Libraries

Where Notes provide a way to capture small and unstructured knowledge, Libraries enable the capturing and sharing of more structured enterprise knowledge.
It provides a customisable structure, creation of Wiki type content, as well as the ability to attach and structure other content in the form of documents, PowerPoints etc.
Libraries can be commented upon by all participants to enable feedback and continuous improvement.

Missing Tag Discovery

Ensuring all assets are tagged, in particular when automated builds are not (yet) in place, can be a challenge: however tagging is critical for cost management.

Our Missing Tag Discovery will identify those assets where tagging has not been appropriately applied, and will present the cost of untagged assets.

Integration Discovery (Feeding into the Integration Catalogue)

Most of the customers we engage with do not have a good understanding of their integrations between their systems. Yet knowing each integration, and how it will behave when migrating your systems, is a key critical success factor.

Our Integration Discovery will run over a period of discovery during which MiCloud will monitor chosen systems and log all network-based interfaces. They can then be identified and managed until all used interfaces are catalogued and tested prior to and during migration to the AWS cloud.

OS Level Script Discovery

Many customers, and in particular those that run AIX as their operating system, have created OS level scripts. Mostly it is unknown how many there are and what their purpose is.

Our OS Level Scripting Discovery will compare your OS scripts with a clean version of your OS script. Discrepancies will be investigated, catalogued and resolved.

Technical Data Discovery

Many SAP systems are poorly maintained, and the amount of redundant technical data is substantial. This negatively impacts cost, performance and agility.

Our Technical Data Discovery will pinpoint clean-up opportunities both as a one-off and ongoing maintenance activity. Pre-migration clean-up activities are identified for execution and early benefits realisation.

Many SAP systems are poorly maintained as a result of housekeeping jobs not being executed or results not being confirmed.

Backups can be restored at any time, and even used to create new systems, to enable testing or training – all at the click of a few buttons. You can even let the platform complete backups based on user activity.

Add-on Servers

Do your end customers need add-ons?

Our system allows them to have as many add-ons as they need. Servers can be produced as needed and software installed on them. The platform takes care of all the security and necessary network changes as servers are created and removed.
